Sweet Smile

There is nothing better than seeing your child smiling and happy!

 Well, maybe holding her in your arms and looking at that sweet smile face to face...but this will do for now!!

Lily has already brought so much joy to my heart!!  I am longing to give her a big hug and hear her giggle!! Look at the face...you know she has the sweetest little laugh.   

We sent our little ladybug some snacks and fresh fruit to share with her friends.  It was such a nice surprise to get  pictures today!!  Gifts to China with Love has been excellent, and we are thrilled with everything that Sherri and Katherine have done for us.

Our dossier is on it's way...so please, please pray that we get logged in and everything keeps moving quickly. Also, please say a prayer for Trent's Dad, Tom, we are waiting on some scary test results. Please lift him up...we know our God is mighty to save!!!  Thanks

Waiting is Hard

I haven't had the chance to hug her or kiss her or even meet her YET...but I sure miss my girl.  She is on my mind all day, every day. I am trying to patiently wait for our dossier to come back from Houston so that it can be sent to China.  We still have several months to wait and it's really getting to me.  Please pray that our paperwork will be processed quickly once it gets to China. 

Lily was in a performance during the 90th year celebration for the PROC.  Isn't she a little beauty??  We were so excited to get new pictures.  Gifts to China with Love has been amazing at getting us updates and pics.  We are so thankful!!

Dossier is Complete!!!

We found out today that our dossier has been sent for county and state authentication!!!!  WOOOHOOO!!!
It was such a nice surprise to hear that...I thought we were waiting for one more document in the mail :)

So ready to get to our Lily Joy!  Please keep praying that Lily stays strong and healthy as she waits for us.

I wonder.....

We spent the last 2 weeks in St. George Island, FL!   It is our favorite place and we had the best time.

 

  We spent most of our days on the beach. Reece and Mary Ashtyn love to snorkel and play in the waves.  The four of us spent lots of time in the ocean.  After a full day on the beach, we headed out to eat, usually in Apalachicola, Eastpoint, or Carrabelle.  It was such a relaxing vacation. 

We spent a lot of time talking about Lily.  The kids did a lot of wondering...

I wonder if Lily will like the ocean...I wonder if she'll like seafood... I wonder where she'll sit in the car...I wonder where she'll sleep in the RV...I wonder what she looks like without her hair in pig tails...I wonder if she'll let me fix her hair.

Trent and I wondered too...

I wonder what it will be like when we meet her for the first time...I wonder if she thinks of us as much and we think of her...I wonder if she'll be able to camp by this time next year...I wonder if she'll be able to run and put her toes in the ocean...I wonder if she'll be overwhelmed by how much we already love her. 

Then we marvel at the peace that we have about Lily joining our family.  God has always planned for her to be ours!

 Reece and Mary Ashtyn wrote her name in the sand.  They are so excited about their Mei Mei. 

Please keep praying for our Lily.  Our home study is on the way to immigration,so we're praying for I-800A approval very soon.  Until we can get her home, we'll just keep wondering and dreaming about our girl.

New Picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We sent Miss Lily a little sterling silver heart necklace through Gifts to China with Love.  We have been over the moon today, because we got this......................

 

I am so in love with this sweet little girl.  I am so thankful that God chose us to be her parents!!  This picture is amazing, but the VIDEO that came with it is priceless.  Lily is just bubbling and at the end she says, "sheh-sheh Baba and Mama" (thank you Daddy and Mama).  She looks straight at the camera and calls us Daddy and Mama!!!!!  You have never seen two bigger idiots than us when we heard that.  What a blessing she already is to us!
