Dance!

Lily danced tonight...sitting on our kitchen counter, kicking her legs, moving her shoulders up and down, swinging her arms out to her sides and laughing until she couldn't breathe.  I snapped my fingers and danced right along with her for several minutes.  Sometimes, watching her takes my breath away.  This beautiful little girl in a body that is too weak to support her tiny frame, with arms too weak to lift LIVES a life full of complete joy.  She wakes up happy each morning and makes the most of every minute.  As we danced, I thought of a verse...

You turned my wailing into dancing;
    you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy!

Psalm 30:11

If anyone is clothed with joy it's our Lily. She is so limited in what she can do physically, but the things she teaches me daily are so powerful!!  So glad that she reminded me tonight to find the joy that God has for me.  No matter the worries or struggles of my day, He can turn my wailing into dancing.  God didn't promise it would be easy, but I know it's possible!!  My little dancing princess shows me that every day.

 

 

Make a Wish

Lily was granted a Make A Wish trip, so on November 30 we flew to....Disney World!!!!!  There is no way to describe the week we had.  Everything about this trip was perfect.  We stayed at Give Kids the World Village and got to go to Disney, Universal, and Sea World.  All five of us loved every minute of it!  There is no way to describe it, so I just wanted to share some pictures.
