Sunday Snapshot {Control}

Another family will be traveling in a few weeks to meet their beautiful daughter in the same SWI as our Lily.  They are going to take this teddy bear to our little ladybug.

 The worst part of waiting is the loss of control.  Everything in our life right now is totally out of our control.  The little girl that we dream about and want to hold in our arms is a world away.  We have no control of when we can get to her.  Trent's Daddy is sick.  He'll start chemotherapy on Tuesday.  We have no control over this stupid cancer.  If I had ANY control, my baby girl would be home with us and cancer would not exist.  Oh, how I wish I was in control!!

I'm not and it's hard.  I am so thankful that God has plans for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us...plans to give us hope and a future.  Please pray with us for healing for Trent's Daddy.  We have no control over sickness, but our God does!!

  1. So glad you can send that teddy bear to your sweet girl while you continue to wait. I did the same thing eight years ago. Made me feel better that a little bit of "home" was with my little one while in that endless waiting pattern.

  4. I struggled with not feeling in control too. I never realized that I have such a need for control until we waited out each step of our adoption. One of the many things I learned while waiting. I'll be praying for your family.
