This is the first moment I have had to sit down today. Sweet Lily is a total princess and demands FULL attention from all 4 of us. I LOVE IT!!!! There are no words to say how much your comments on here and Facebook mean to us. As I read through ALL of them, I sobbed (yeah...if you know me, I'm sure you're shocked...LOL). Your prayers are needed...please cover the 5 of us every minute. This is the most humbling experience of my life. I have never felt closer to God. Sure wish I could explain our feelings. I wish you could feel it, this total peace that God has given me for the past 8 months. We are exactly where He wants us to be!!!!
Now, for the Lily lowdown....
She had a great day. We had to wake her up at 7 for breakfast. All smiles! She is a smart girl who knows exactly what she wants. Picked her own clothes down to the socks :) She ate a good breakfast (dumplings, bacon, doughnut stick) as she slurped OJ with her spoon. She insisted on working on her nonsense novel as we finished eating. That net book goes wherever we go! As soon as she says type (her second English word), Baba brings it right out. She has him jumping on command!!
Lily Joy ChunHang Bamberg was legally ours by 10 this morning (11/29/11). We spent over an hour talking with the assistant SWI director. She cried with us and shared so
much info about Lily and the other children. Lily grieves because they taught her how to love. We know that's a blessing even as our hearts break when she cries.
She did tell the guide that she didn't want to go back to the SWI...she would just stay with Mama & Baba!!!!!! Then, she told Aggie that she was going to eat lots of vegetables and less meat so she would grow big and strong. I honestly think my girl is a genius:)
Note to MeMe, Pop, Grandmama, & Grandy....save up lots of money. Lily loves to shop and she's very good at it!!!! Trent was hilarious trying to buy EVERYTHING that she wanted. after we found a traditional Mongolian outfit...she wanted toys, then a watch, and most importantly...a cell phone. No baby looking cell...she wants the real deal. Reece was sure to remind us that he was still waiting for his phone :) we couldn't find a real looking play cell. So Miss Priss told Aggie to finish up her work then go find her a phone and bring it to the hotel!!!! We're in so much trouble.
We played in the hotel room all afternoon. All 5 of us giggling and acting silly. It is amazing. Lily insisted on taking her bath with jie jie/ big sister and had a blast. Kicking and splashing and belly laughing the whole time...until she got soap in her eyes. She was fine after a little comforting from the four of us. Have I mentioned that we love this little miracle???
At bedtime, she used her picture cards that I made to ask to play. When she didn't get her way, the wailing with NO tears started. WOW, REALLY??? 14 hours of play and she wants more??? LOL So very, very proud to say that Trent and I won the battle. After more than 30 minutes of that pitiful crying(without tears), our youngest pointed to her bed and let us tuck her in. I rubbed her hair until she fell asleep.
V-I-C-T-O-R-Y...we know we'll probably lose the next battle, but we are really proud of ourselves right now!!!
My big kids are THE BEST :) Loving their baby sister and making me the proudest Mama ever. God's perfect plan for our family is so obvious when I hear my three laughing out loud together.
We have tons of pics and videos. They will be added just as soon as Baba can de-Lily the net book. We can't get it online anymore??? No clue how to upload from my camera to the iPad :(
