Our FairyTale

Several people have commented that we are living a fairytale.  I'm trying to decide which characters we should be...suggestions are welcome :)

Our fairytale has an odd storyline...
Everyone in the kingdom is suffering from jet lag, we're all ill and grouchy.
Kingdom??  Who are we kidding...no palace has this much dirty laundry and it should be bigger and newer!!
Prince Charming gets on my nerves sometimes :)
The oldest princess is a sassy teenager who thinks we're stupid :(  LOL
The little prince is having a hard time adjusting to no longer being the baby...but he loves his baby sister.
The youngest princess speaks a totally different language.  She doesn't walk and has trouble using her arms.
The royal family's new schedule involves orthopedists and neurologists and testing and big words that we don't understand and don't want associated with our little princess!
We have to deal with blood draws and collapsing veins that make us ALL cry.
What fairytale ever included people making nasty comments to the royal family that the princess is too big to be carried???  It's happened to this family TWICE!
Cinderella, Snow White, and all those other chicks are skinny and have perfect hair and makeup...right??  OOPS :)

So is this a fairytale??  In fairytales, dreams come true...is that the same as answered prayers?  Yeah, we've got that!  Do we all live happily ever after?  I tucked three miracles into bed tonight and my heart is full of love for this crazy family of mine.  That's happily ever after, right??  Yeah, we've got that!

The theme of our fairytale is Impossible, Difficult, Done.  God didn't say it would be easy, but He promised it would be worth it.

  1. You and your family are such an inspiration and blessed beyond measures. I am so happy for you all and praying for you. You have such a God-given talent for telling your story while also preaching the gospel. I am amazed and overjoyed and how wonderful everything is and know that God is speaking very powerfully through you to reach others. Not only have you been given precious gifts from God but you two are also precious gifts that are wonderful parents, wonderful friends, wonderful disciples, and empowered to do such great things. Love to you all and we are here if you need us. Seriously... call if you need anything.... you know my little mama hen would LOVE nothing more than one more duckling under her wing for a few moments if mama or daddy needs a breather ;) xoxoxoxoxo and Merry Christmas Bamberg Family of FIVE!! :0)

  2. Beautifully said! They want to give reality shows to unfaithful husbands & wives with 8 kids who have no where near the story you guys have. Your family is what hope, love and perseverance is all about. True faith on Christ and overcoming all satan hands you. Faith to stand alone and let God lead. Now thats a show I want to see! Thank you for sharing your fairytail with us!

  3. It is easy to see other people's lives through rose colored glasses, but you have to know them to understand them. As for people commenting about carrying Lily, I can relate to that. I have had people say to me "Well, you don't look disabled". I just smile and say "I have a spinal cord injury and that not all disabilities are apparent right away. For instance, I would not have known about yours until you spoke."

And I just have one question... when are you taking the family camping?!

  5. Its a wonderful family tale. As for those who comment about carrying Miss Lily don't worry about it tell people God didn't give her the ability to that yet and you for now are her legs and strength and you are strong enough for both of you. I admire your strength and courage to go through everything you have to receive those wonderful miracles from God. Have a Wonderful and Merry Christmas from the Gleatons.
